Overlook Park natural area

This 2-acre park is a steep, wooded incline with a sitting area and driving turn-around at the top of the hill. The park affords visitors an impressive view of LaGuardia Airport to the north, as well as a shady respite under large mature oak (Quercus spp.) and Norway maple (Acer platanoides) trees in the overstory. Multiflora rose (Rosa multiflora) and other disturbance-tolerant species dominate the understory.
