Surrounding parkland details: Harlem River Park Sherman Creek

Sherman Creek Park is a 15-acre park that includes forest, salt marsh, and natural shoreline. The New York Restoration Project (NYRP) has implemented restoration projects along the shoreline since 1998. This restoration work has included debris removal, grading, construction of pedestrian paths and a bridge, and three salt marsh restoration projects. During a salt marsh restoration project in 2020, NYRP installed oyster castles to reduce wave energy and capture sediment, and planted salt marsh vegetation along the shoreline.
