Tide Gate Bridge Construction

Due to construction on the Tide Gate Bridge, located on Meridian Road within Flushing Meadows Corona Park, vehicular traffic will not be allowed to cross the bridge in either direction. Please follow posted detour signs around Meridian Road and plan for additional travel time. Pedestrian traffic will still be permitted to cross the bridge.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced while seated in a chair or while standing and using a chair for support. It includes a combination of stretching, strengthening, and breathing exercises, and includes relaxation and meditation techniques. Most yoga poses can be modified so that they can be practiced utilizing a chair. Twists, lunges, reclining poses, inversions, balancing poses and Sun Salutations can all be performed using a chair. This makes the practice accessible to a wider population.

Come learn, play and compete in the 2025 Flag Football Season. The NYC Parks Flag Football League begins in September 2025 and runs through November 2025. The season will feature league play and borough championships. This is a 5v5 official NFL FLAG non-contact version of flag football.

Soccer for kids is a great non-contact sport with just a ball and a little open space. Members will learn three basic skills in soccer. Dribbling, passing, and shooting which could all be summarized as ball control.

Join us as NYC Parks partners with NYPD, DYCD, DOE, and NYC’s five District Attorney’s Offices to extend the hours of recreation centers on Saturday nights for youth and teens! Bring your friends, and meet some new, to enjoy a variety of activities from sports to fitness classes and games to arts and cultural activities. Socialize with your friends while you learn new skills!
