Kwame Ture Recreation Center

In observance of Labor Day, Kwame Ture Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Membership Extension

For a limited time, we are offering qualifying members the opportunity to receive a 3.5-month membership extension.
To be eligible to receive the extension, you must meet all three qualification criteria:

          
  • You were an active member on January 30, 2025.
    •       
  • You visited Kwame Ture Recreation Center between July 30, 2024, and January 30, 2025.
    •       
  • You are a paying member who possesses either an adult membership or a senior, veteran, or person with a disability membership.

If you believe you meet these qualifications, you may submit a request by completing the online form. The deadline to opt-in for the extension is October 26, 2025.



Due to a mechanical issue, the front entrance of the Kwame Ture Recreation Center is temporarily out of service. Please use the back entrance to access the facility until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Please note: This facility shuts its doors at closing time.  Registration hours end at least 30 minutes before closing time. Other activities may shut down 15 minutes early. 

Recreation centers operate in seasonal schedules, with program availability additionally affected by Parks' afterschool and summer camps. Programs rotate in the following increments: January - March, April - June, July - September and October - December.

Media Labs follow their own 6-12 week schedules, depending on the type of class being offered.
