This site is not generally accessible to the public.

The Seagirt Avenue Wetlands are comprised of 5.32 acres of natural area including a small tidal inlet that drains east into Bannister Bay in Nassau County. The inlet is separated from Bannister Bay by the Atlantic Beach Bridge. Fringing salt marshes of salt marsh cordgrass (Sporobolus alterniflorus), salt meadow cordgrass (Sporobolus pumilus), and salt grass (Distichlis spicata) support Atlantic ribbed mussels (Geukensia demissa) and fiddler crabs that provide food for numerous herons and egrets despite the park's small size.
