Wetland Wednesdays at Van Cortlandt Park

 

Fall Edition: Phragmites Removal

 

Join us to restore Van Cortlandt Park wetlands by removing invasive Phragmites. This October, we'll cut back reeds to prepare areas for native plantings.

 

When: Wednesdays, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Where: Van Cortlandt Golf House (southern end)

What to bring: Clothes that can get muddy, water bottle, sunscreen.

 

Tools and gloves provided. Ages 15+ welcome (minors need waiver).

 

Limited to 30 volunteers per shift. Groups of 6+ email noel@vancortlandt.org
