Outdoor Skills: Advanced Animal Tracking
Sunday, September 14, 2025
11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Join the Rangers in learning to identify animal tracks with non-invasive tracking techniques. Learn about how scientists can learn about what animals live in an area without ever seeing or touching an animal. During this program we’ll use a track plate box, a wooden tunnel that has a soot covered plate an animal will step on and leave a footprint behind on a piece of paper. Bring your detective skills and see if you can identify what animals visited this cool scientific tool!
