Fort Tryon natural areas
Surrounding parkland details: Bennett Rest Fort Tryon Park

Containing one of the highest points in Manhattan, Fort Tryon Park towers above the Hudson River, offering magnificent views of the Palisades and the lower Hudson Valley. The 25-acre natural areas of Fort Tryon Park are primarily on the steep slopes over the Henry Hudson Parkway. Here, a rocky bluff hosts a coastal oak-hickory forest that provides connectivity between Inwood Hill Park, Fort Washington Park, and Riverside Park. Together, these areas comprise a natural edge along the Hudson River.
