To qualify, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age by July 18, 2026.
• Have at least 20/30 vision in one eye and 20/40 in the other without corrective lenses.
  *Glasses or contacts may not be worn during the vision exam.
• Be able to swim 50 yards in 50 seconds or less, with proper form.

You are welcome to take the test multiple times. To accommodate other applicants, please register for only one upcoming appointment at a time.

Vision Requirements
Instead of an onsite vision exam, you may submit a letter from an eye doctor (ophthalmologist or optometrist) affirming that you meet the vision requirements without corrective lenses.
