Description: Calling all Wetlands Enthusiasts! Join the Stewardship Team for a webinar to celebrate the 26th annual World Wetlands Day. This webinar, a Species Spotlight of the Eastern Oyster, will explore New York's history through its fascinating and evolving relationship with oysters. We will cover their historical significance, bi-valve filtration basics, climate mitigation efforts underway in NYC, and Parks Stewardship projects bolstering climate resiliency. *If event is on waitlist, please still register, we will be assessing capacity on a rolling basis We will end the week with a tandem Wetland Clean-up and Restoration event at Joe Michaels Mile, please join for one or both events as we honor Wetlands on this special week!
