Trees Count 2025 Recognition Awards

NYC Parks is grateful to everyone participating in Trees Count 2025. 

To recognize our most dedicated volunteers, Trees Count 2025 will award prizes to participants who successfully complete certain milestones within a designated time period.  

Eligibility 

All participants who survey trees in Trees Count 2025 through the app are eligible for consideration. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.  In the event of a tie, the individual who reached the milestone first will be awarded the prize(s). 

All-time Top Counter of 2025 

This award goes to the individual who has surveyed the most trees.

• Prize: 2 JetBlue Round-Trip Airplane Tickets (certain conditions apply) 
• Eligibility Period: July 15, 2025 – October 31, 2025 
• Winner selected: November 7, 2025 

Best Traveled Counter 

This prize goes to the top three individuals who have surveyed trees in the most number of parks.

• Prize: 2 Tickets (General Admission) Per Winner to the Global Citizen Festival. (Concert date: Saturday, September 27, 2025)
• Eligibility Period: July 15, 2025 – September 10, 2025 
• Winner Selected: September 12, 2025 

Five Borough Counter 

This prize goes to the top two individuals who have surveyed the most trees in each of the five boroughs.

• Prize: Two tickets for Holiday Train Nights for December 29 at New York Botanical  Garden or Lightscape at Brooklyn Botanic Garden 
• Eligibility Period: July 15, 2025 – October 31, 2025 
• Winner selected: November 7, 2025
