Organizing for Garden Success: Tackling Your Toolshed
Tuesday, October 21, 2025
6:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
Join Community Garden Coordinator Hannah Wargo for a virtual workshop on making the most of your garden shed. In this session, you’ll learn strategies for organizing your space efficiently—what tools to keep within easy reach, what can be stored away, and which shelving and containers work best. We’ll also discuss how to protect your tools and supplies from cold-weather damage and how to maintain your shed structure through the winter. This online session will prepare you with practical tips and inspiration to put into practice now, and will set the stage for our hands-on, in-person workshop this spring, where we’ll put these ideas into action together in the garden.
NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event. We are proud to be the nation’s most extensive urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City. With GreenThumb’s support, community gardens are centers of environmental justice, ensuring that our city is fairer, safer, and greener for all. GreenThumb’s events are free and open to the public.
