Cooking Demo: The Native American Palate

Learn about commonly used ingredients in contemporary Indigenous meals and different preparation techniques as Chef Brandi Solomon of Great Performances, Wave Hill’s exclusive caterer, shares tasty samples and recipes to take home. 

Throughout the cooking demonstration, Oleana Whispering Dove shares historical context on how these meals were prepared prior to European colonization. 

Recommended for ages 8 and above; children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Registration not required. 

Wave Hill House and Armor Hall are wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
