Practical Knot Tying for Urban Gardeners

Thursday, December 4, 2025

6:00 p.m.7:30 p.m.

Learn how to tie reliable knots that can help you with everyday garden tasks—from staking plants and building trellises to tying down tarps and reinforcing fencing. These skills are especially useful in wind-prone urban gardens and shared spaces where things need to be secure. Because urban gardens often grow vertically due to limited space, strong yet gentle knots are key for supporting climbing crops like beans, cucumbers, and tomatoes without damaging their delicate stems. Knot-tying also helps keep things organized: you’ll learn how to bundle tools, coil hoses, and hang items neatly—ideal for communal sheds or storage-tight sites. With just a few strong knots in your toolbox, you can confidently make quick, sturdy fixes whenever the need arises. All skill levels welcome. Rope and materials provided.
