45th Annual GreenThumb Harvest Fair

Save the date for the 45th Annual GreenThumb Harvest Fair on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at Herbert Von King Park and Hattie Carthan Community Garden in Brooklyn, NY. Join NYC Parks GreenThumb and GreenThumb community gardeners in celebrating the start of fall with workshops, live entertainment, healthy cooking demonstrations, and more! 

Activities will include: 

• Microgreen Workshop
• GreenThumb Kiosk
• Greening Partners
• Daffodil Giveaway
• Seedling Giveaway
• Pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and then decorate it
• Archery with the Urban Park Rangers
• Brooklyn Recreation (Arts and Cultural Center)
• Lawn Games - corn hole, sack races, and more!
• Learn how to play Dominos
• Yoga
• Scarecrow Making
• Flower Printing
• Tea Arts & Culture

GreenThumb Fresh Chef Contest

Do you have what it takes to be GreenThumb's next Fresh Chef? We're seeking community members to show off their cooking skills at the 45th Annual GreenThumb Harvest Fair! The GreenThumb Fresh Chef contest challenges participants to replicate their most delicious and nutritious version of a surprise dish demonstrated by a local chef. 2025 GreenThumb Harvest Fair Competition

Do you think you have harvested an award winner? Show off your abundance by sending us your photos of veggies, herbs, flowers, and fruit growing in the garden. Photos of what you grew earlier in the season are eligible to be entered into the competition as well!
