10:00 a.m.12:00 p.m.

Join the Eastern Queens Alliance and NYC Parks Stewardship as we celebrate the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a day of service in Idlewild Park! Volunteers will use shovels, pitchforks and wheelbarrows to mulch newly-planted trees and shrubs in the forested areas of Idlewild. Please come dressed in layers and sturdy boots or shoes that can both get dirty and keep you warm. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. This event has been funded in part by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. To sign-up a group of 5 or more volunteers, please reach out to stewardship@parks.nyc.gov.
