Preparing for EarthMonth

Tuesday, February 10, 2026

6:00 p.m.8:00 p.m.

Earth Month is a great opportunity to highlight your garden, connect with the community, and welcome new members. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to plan and host simple, meaningful events or classes that reflect your garden’s unique character.

We’ll cover how to:
1. Organize mini EarthMonth activities
2. Do effective outreach to attract volunteers and attendees
3. Build a basic contact list to keep people engaged year-round
4. Whether it’s a compost demo, plant swap, or open garden day, you’ll leave with practical ideas to help your garden shine and grow during EarthMonth and beyond.

NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event. We are proud to be the nation’s most extensive urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City.
