Volunteer Workday: Fantasy Garden
Saturday, February 21, 2026
11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteer gardeners who critically upkeep them as public green spaces.
Fantasy Community Garden, Join Fantasy Community gardeners and GreenThumb Staff for a day of volunteer service at this vital public green space. We will be cleaning out a large shed structure so the gardeners and neighbors can use the space to build community, host events, and welcome in more guests! No prior experience necessary - beginners are welcome!
This is a great opportunity to support a dynamic community space and be a part of a growing garden group. What you can expect: Learn about GreenThumb Gardens and what it means to be a member of a garden. Connect and give back to the community, and the gardeners who upkeep this space! Moving and sorting garden items and tools, some tasks may include lifting, bending, or sitting – we will work to accommodate different abilities in tasks. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring water and snacks. Weather date: February 28th 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: 181 Legion St, Brooklyn, NY 11212
