Volunteer Day: Family Community Garden Manhattan

GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteer gardeners who critically upkeep them as public green spaces.

Family Community Garden Manhattan is a small garden nestled in East Harlem that is seeking volunteers and any interested potential garden members to join the space for our Earth Month Volunteer days on April 11th and/or April 25th! In celebration of Earth Month, join Family Community Gardeners and GreenThumb Staff for a hands-on Volunteer Day to learn how to create and maintain a mini pollinator garden. If you would like to celebrate the holiday by giving back and learn about how you can become a community gardener, or create a pollinator garden yourself, please join us! Beginners are welcome! No prior experience necessary. This is a volunteer day with lighter tasks and an educational component!
This is a great opportunity to support a dynamic community space while learning about urban agriculture. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring water and snacks. Note: Some tasks may involve lifting heavy materials and extended periods of bending, squatting, and moving.
