Volunteer Workday: 133rd Swing St Community Garden

Join 133rd Swing St Community Garden and NYC Parks GreenThumb for a hands-on workday to rebuild raised beds using basic carpentry skills. Beginners and experienced volunteers are welcome! We’ll lead a safety training and demonstrate how to build raised beds. Please wear sturdy work shoes and warm clothing and bring water and snacks. Note some tasks will involve lifting heavy materials and extended periods of bending, squatting, and moving.

133rd Swing St Community Garden is seeking more members who can support with stewardship, holding public events, upkeep open hours during the gardening season, and more. This is a great opportunity to learn how you can get involved and join a growing garden!

In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, April 25, 10 A.M.-2 P.M. Registered volunteers will be notified a few days before the scheduled event.
